Microsoft Academic Software – Microsoft Imagine

As of Nov 30, 2020, this service is discontinued. Go to University’s Site Licensed Software instead to access Microsoft software that are available for ALL university community.

Computer Science has a subscription service with Microsoft Imagine, previously named DreamSpark, that makes available a significant collection of Microsoft development software for Academic purposes at no charge to their CS faculty, system staff and declared CS major only. See List of available software here.

You can get access to regular Microsoft Imagine – Microsoft Academic software and other site license software, go to University’s Site Licensed Software via http://software.rutgers.edu

The software may be downloaded from Microsoft Imagine WebStore for Rutgers Computer Science. Please read the license carefully. All that is required is your Rutgers NetID and password. Only one key per product is allowed. Additional keys can be generated, but will automatically deactivate and replace existing keys.

This software store is only for CS declared majors and CS Faculty.  If you are NOT a member of Computer Science Department and try to login to the webstore, you will get the following error: “Your request could not be processed: either the page does not exist or a general error has occurred. Please click here to report the problem, which will help us identify and resolve it.”
